Walla! SS15 Carboot Sale Vendor Terms & Conditions

These terms & conditions are specific to the Carboot Sale held in SS15. It applies to all Carboot Sale Vendors that participates under Walla! events.

Booking Lot(s) & Payment Terms:

  • Payment can be made via online transfer/direct bank-in; Lot(s) confirmation upon payment with proof of receipt and form submission.
  • It is vendor’s responsibility to ensure form is submitted and payment is made. No proof of payment, no form, no lot. It is also vendor’s responsibility to ensure all details filled in the form is correct and accurate.
  • Lot number will be assigned to each vendor  – at random and at organizer’s discretion. Organizer reserves the right to reassign lot(s) if necessary. Lot requests will not be entertained.
  • All payments made are strictly non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be carry-forward to future events (this includes no day changes within the same weekend); with exception in the case of event cancellation or overbooking. By making any payment, you have confirm to read and understand our Terms & Conditions.
  • Vendor(s) forfeit all payment(s) made if they do not show up on event day for whatever reason.
  • Please check if the correct amount is paid for the correct number of lots. Any excess payment will not be refunded nor carry-forward to next event.
  • Vendors are not allowed to re-sell their booked lot(s). 
  • Each vendor is responsible for any parking fee due to the building. (Saturday : RM2.12 flat/entry all day (incl. SST) if you arrive before 1PM; Sunday and PH : FREE all day)
  • As per local council instructions, only Malaysians are allowed to register as a Vendor.

Event Operating Hours:

  • Operation hours: 10AM – 3PM.
  • All Vendors are required to commence operations by 10AM and conclude their operations by 3PM to ensure compliance with the building management’s guideline. Vendors are advised to come before 9.30AM to setup their area. 
  • Any vendor coming after 9.30AM will NOT be allowed to bring their car up to Level 3and 3A as we will block the entrance to the event area for vendor and shopper’s safety. Vendor(s) who are late shall carry their items up to their assigned lot. So plan accordingly.
  • Vendor(s) are not allowed to move their car(s) during the event (10AM – 3PM). This is to ensure not to disrupt other vendors’ setup and crowd flow, also in ensuring everyone’s safety. If you must leave due to an emergency, please inform the Organizer. We will make an announcement to inform all vendors to be alert regarding car movement.
  • If Vendor is not at their assigned lot by 10.30AM and fail to inform Organizer, the Organizer has the right to give away their lot to other Vendor(s) to ensure there are no empty spaces. No-show vendor’s will be blacklisted from future events.
  • Vendors must commit to keep their booth set up until the end of event until 3PM.

Products For Sale:

  • All items displayed should tally with the information in the application form and Vendors are not allowed to use the booth for any other purposes.
  • Items for sale must have price displayed clearly.
  • Organizer only provides parking lot space. Vendors are allowed to bring tables, chairs or use mats to display their items. No large and/or heavy structure (e.g pasar tani tents) that may damage the parking floor.
  • Products for sale must be sold physically on location. No agents (insurance, sales people for services, etc.), unless allowed by Organizer beforehand.
  • Carboot sale vendors are strictly not allowed to sell food and beverages in whatever form or packaging. (This includes supplements and everything else for human consumption).
  • Prohibited: live animals, firearms, tobacco and vape products, dangerous goods, political and anything illegal or hazardous to the public.
  • The Organizer reserves the rights to determine what should and should not be sold at the event. 

Conduct of Carboot Sale Vendor:

  • Booth transfer/exchange without approval is strictly prohibited.
  • Maintain clean space and organized presentation.
  • No smoking or vaping in the event area. 
  • Turn off car engine, and do not leave it idle when parked at the event area.
  • Ensure your lot is clean. If Organizer find that your lot is dirty after the event, a cleaning cost of RM50 will be charged. Vendor(s) will be barred from joining following events until the cleaning cost is paid.
  • Keep your items within the assigned lot(s) and avoid encroaching into neighboring vendor’s lot(s). Public walkway must be kept clear at ALL times and should not obstruct any fire escapes and facilities.
  • The vendors’ activities shall not cause any annoyance, nuisance, damage, or disturbance to other vendors/customers. Be respectful to all members of the community, as well as Walla! Team Members.
  • Any damages incurred to the building and its properties shall be fully borne by the Vendor(s).
  • Walla! team will in our best ability to promote and advertise the event, however the Organizer nor building management is responsible for the traffic footfall and vendor’s sales during the event as it is out of our control.
  • The Organizer is authorized to take photographs and films of vendors, booths and anything present throughout the event, and use the resulting images and footage for commercial and promotional purposes. The vendors assign all rights and interests they have in any media that features their name or likeness and acknowledge that they will not receive any remuneration for the use of such media.
  • By joining our events as Vendors, it does not constitute the creation of a legal partnership.

Vendor Compliance & Commitment

  • Once payment is made and form is submitted, all Vendors are committed to participate in the event.
  • Vendors are not allowed to re-sell their lot for any reason. 
  • Vendors who cannot attend on the day of the event for any reason, MUST FIND THEIR OWN REPLACEMENT. Vendors who are no-show on the event day without a replacement will be blacklisted from our future events. 
  • Vendors must notify the Organizer of any replacements, and the replacement must be approved by the Organizer before being allowed to participate in our event. The Replacement Vendor will need to register and make new payment to the Organizer. Any payment made by the Vendor who did not come on the event day is forfeited.
  • We reserve the right to refuse any Vendor(s) who fail to comply with our community guidelines, violate our terms and conditions, or engage in behavior that goes against the spirit of our event. Vendors found in violation may be banned and removed from the event. All decisions made by the Organizer are final. Additionally, we retain the right to update our terms and conditions at any time as deemed necessary.

Note: Vendors are responsible for their own personal property; Management and event organizer are not liable for any damage, accidents, injury, theft, or loss during the event. Electric plug points won’t be readily available to vendors. Kindly prepare your setup accordingly.
